The staff of Corney & Lind Lawyers came together to honour the many years of service from its founder and Chairman, Andrew Lind. For health reasons, Andrew has decided that it was time to step down as a Director and Part-Owner of the Firm (he will remain employed as a Consultant on a full time basis).
Corney & Lind Lawyers was founded in 2003 by Graham Corney and Andrew Lind, through the merger of their two legal practices. The firm has grown significantly since these humble beginnings, to now having over 40 staff. Andrew’s contribution over this period has, of course, been immense, in both the dedicated service of his clients, and more broadly through:
- Queensland law reform through his work with the Queensland Law Society Not-for-profit law committee;
- National policy and law reform with the Not-for-profit and charities committee of Law Council of Australia;
- Contributions to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC), Australian and New Zealand Charity Law Association; and
- Serving on multiple school and university governance Boards.
The Board and staff of Corney & Lind are deeply grateful for Andrew’s role in founding and building Corney & Lind and for his dedicated service and commitment to its staff and clients.
In moving forward, Andrew will remain employed full-time with Corney & Lind Lawyers as a Consultant.
Alistair Macpherson, as Managing Director, will continue to lead the Firm.
