The folk at Corney and Lind have helped us put in place the best structures to suit our situation on a number of occasions.
Their integrity, experience and thorough approach to achieving the best outcomes for their clients has really helped us to get on with the work we are passionate about. What our clients say about us
The Community Solutions Group specialises in the provision of services and essential community assets for individuals and regional communities which are disadvantaged and require benevolent relief. As such we have been granted registrations as both a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) and as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). Both of these ATO registrations come with ongoing self audit requirements.
I first started using the services of Corney & Lind (C&L) to assist with reviewing and refining our internal systems, after attending a CPA NFP conference at which Andrew [Lind] presented on this very topic. It was clear then, and became more obvious as we undertook this review, that Andrew, Graham and the other C&L lawyers have an in depth understanding of the NFP sector, and the current regulatory framework in which it operates.
This places C&L in a better position then most firms to not only provide expert current compliance advice, but also sound advice in relation to future organisational structures and ventures.
I have also found the team to be very approachable, upfront and trustworthy.
Corney & Lind Lawyers are approachable, professional, and knowledgeable about the law as it relates to the Christian and nonprofit sector, and I regularly recommend them to Christian Management Australia members as a firm who they can trust. In a recent practical example my local church needed expert legal advice on a difficult matter unique to the church sector.
I recommended that our pastor approach Corney & Lind Lawyers, and we quickly received a clear, straight forward response that equipped us to address the issue appropriately.

I am happy to provide a testimonial for Corney and Lind Lawyers.
They have provided a valuable service to Emmanuel College on the Gold Coast for many years. I have always found their responses to our requests to be deeply thoughtful, incisive and extremely thorough.
On many occasions, they have raised matters which we would not have considered had they not raised them for us, and have protected us against what would almost certainly have been difficult territory had we not engaged their advice.
I have found that their personal approach has really assisted both me and my staff, and we count our relationship with the various members of the firm to be one of cordiality and professional friendship and respect.
Corney & Lind have been handling the conveyancing and other legal matters for Christian Community Ministries and their associated ministries as well as my own personal needs for over 25 years.
I have found them to be professional, friendly and helpful in every way.
The advice they have given has always been to protect our best interests and to ensure that we are operating within the law.
I have recommended family and friends to use Corney & Lind for conveyancing on many occasions and will continue to do so in the future.
As a leading provider of information to professional service firms within Australia, we provide services to government and other large enterprises, including law firms.
It is an understatement to say that we need good lawyers.
Corney & Lind Lawyers are those lawyers – knowledgeable, straight talking, commercially astute, highly responsive and solution focused.
We have used their legal services extensively for many years, often on large, complex and time sensitive matters, and we have found that they have always been worthy of the trust that we have placed in them.
In July 2007 I completed 6 and half years as the Chief Executive Officer for one of Queensland and Australia’s largest corporations. Since then I have run my own consulting firm and have 3 company directorships.
I have known both Andrew Lind and Graham Corney professionally and personally for over 15 years.
Andrew Lind first worked for me, in my capacity as the then Assistant Commissioner (Finance and Administration) QR in the early 1990s when I “inherited” a major headache of a business arrangement which had not been properly constructed into a contractual agreement between QR and its supplier.
Andrew was able to negotiate with the supplier, hammer out terms and retrospectively create a contract which was then signed by both parties. This saved QR litigation by the supplier, protected QR from unreasonable contractual costs and provided a sound contractual basis for an ongoing relationship.
Andrew has also provided advice to me personally, most recently in respect of a property contract. I have always been impressed by Andrew’s commitment to sound, practical and quality legal advice.
I have known Graham Corney for over 20 years and Graham has undertaken a lot of personal legal matters for me including very recently creating new enduring powers of attorney and new wills containing testamentary trusts.
Graham has also handled several property transactions for me, my family and family friends. Graham’s commitment to practical, no nonsense legal advice combined with a strong ethical approach, have kept me as a personal client of the firm.
I am always reluctant to give personal testimonials. I am happy to do so in this case due to my long business and private association with the two principals who I know will ensure that their firm meets any obligations that it undertakes in a professional and ethical manner.
Queensland Baptists has enjoyed a long and positive working relationship with Corney and Lind Lawyers.
Since 2009 Corney and Lind have provided our Movement with accurate, ethical and practical legal advice. I have found their team to be professional, experienced and efficient. They conduct themselves with an honesty and integrity that reflects well the Christian principles and character that we value as an organisation.
I have no hesitation in commending them to you.
