Nikolai is a Business Development Officer and Internet Marketing specialist. He is currently studying law at Central Queensland University via long distance learning and has a Bachelor of Education from National University of Ukraine of Physical Education and Sport.
Nikolai joined our BD Team in 2018.
Nikolai has an interesting background in competitive cycling, web design, copywriting and search engine marketing.
As a member of the Soviet Union national team, Nikolai competed on world stage through the 1980s and 1990s winning gold for the USSR in the UCI World Junior Championship in 1984.
In the 1990s, Nikolai retired from cycling and bought his first computer learning how to code web pages.
In this capacity, he grew to a senior designer role with one of the leading web development firms in Sydney where he worked on high profile web projects in the sports and entertainment sectors.
After moving to Brisbane in 2003, Nikolai opened his own consulting business and continued to provide his clients with web development solutions.
Over the years, he broadened his services to include Internet marketing, advertising, and copywriting.
Nikolai has been a contributor to the Ride Cycling Review magazine. He wrote a popular series of memoirs about living and racing in the Soviet Union.
He was a guest on the ABC Radio Conversations with Richard Fidler.
Nikolai speaks fluent Russian.
When not studying, Nikolai spends his spare time on a bicycle (still) or brewing coffee.
