Paul completed his combined Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy and Political Science) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Queensland in 2016. Paul completed his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and was admitted to legal practice in 2017.
Since his admission, Paul has worked in various areas of law, primarily focusing on property and not-for-profit matters.
His experiences have provided an all-rounder approach to his matters. Some of these experiences include canvassing politics and policy, which has created an acute awareness of the reputational and public good implications of legal decisions. He has also assisted in the preparation of contracts (business sale and sale of commercial properties) for multi-million-dollar asset disposals. And an indelible experience has been involvement in a successful challenge of an ACNC decision for charity registration.
Paul has a keen interest in empowering his clients to make good business and strategic decisions. He understands that legal advice should always take into commercial realities and extra-legal means of securing good client outcomes.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys long distance running and playing social squash. Paul is also involved in his local church.
