Marisol has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. She is part of our Litigation team working as a Graduate Law Clerk. Originally from Colombia, Marisol obtained a law degree from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. She then worked for a large private law firm gaining experience in commercial and corporate law before moving to Australia. Since moving here, Marisol continued to volunteer at community legal centres in Brisbane, whilst pursuing an Australian law degree.
Marisol is driven by her interest to improve access to justice for her Latino community. She believes that her skills can enable meaningful integration into Australian society of Spanish-speaking people that face difficulty because of a language barrier. Her experience in hospitality has facilitated this with exceptional customer service skill and care.
Outside of her legal work, Marisol volunteers at Latin House in Brisbane and enjoys being a ‘green thumb’ tending various plants and succulents.
