**NEW – Commercial or Not-for-Profit & Charity Lawyer (2 to 3 years PAE)

Company Corney & Lind is looking for an innovative and driven Lawyer to join our busy and growing Not for Profit and Charity team based in either our Brisbane (Herston, Qld 4006) or Sydney office (North Ryde, NSW 2113).

About the role Our team continues to get busier, and we therefore need some more hands on deck!

We’re looking for a full time lawyer with at least 2 to 3 years of PAE, with general corporate or commercial law experience (ideally with demonstrated experience in transactional work, contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance advice and property matters). Experience in supporting the legal needs of charities and not-for-profit organisations will be well regarded but is not essential – we can teach you everything you need to know.

The team is very collaborative, flexible and fun – we enjoy working hard while maintaining a true work / life balance. It’s therefore very important to us that the successful candidate is personable, approachable and inclusive. Depending on your seniority, you will have the freedom to maintain your autonomy while being well-supported and having the Director access that you need.

Our team is always looking to innovate and streamline our processes, so we welcome your input and participation in this regard. The role is specifically designed for growth within our firm, with promotion opportunity available.

About you Our successful team member will:

  • Have at least 2 to 3 years PAE
  • Have experience in corporate/commercial law

The firm Corney & Lind Lawyers Pty Ltd is a medium sized law firm based in Brisbane and Sydney. The company group has a team of around 33 people (based in Brisbane, Sydney and Fiji) who provide services to our clients across many practice areas such as corporate/commercial law, charity law, litigation, criminal law, family law and PI law.

Paralegal

Role: Paralegal

Purpose and responsibilities: To provide Paralegal / Admin Support to our Senior Lawyers:

  • Assist Senior Lawyers with day-to-day operations of files/clients management
  • Manage various databases of information
  • Prepare documentation for court, client meetings and general correspondence
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Criteria:

  • Organisational ability
  • High attention to details regarding data entry
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office suite, word and excel a must
  • Willingness to work in a team; and
  • takes responsibility for allocated tasks
  • Shows initiative in file management

Remuneration: Depends on experience

Commencement Date: Immediate start
