The value of "good advice" can be measured. (e.g. clear identification of issues and risks; practical commercial recommendations and solutions; helping you to DIY where possible; simple to read and understand documents; personal understanding of your situation across our team; direct and quick access to the lawyer you need). The cost of "bad advice" can also, sadly, be measured.
Lawyers are not cheap. Our costs are competitive, in the mid-range. The old adage is true - you get what you pay for.
Our approach to costs is:
- We provide an accurate estimate of costs as soon as possible after you have contacted us
- We accurately record our time & outlays via state of the art management software, as soon as they are incurred
- All our staff record their time as they go online. No manual time sheets or guess work about time spent for you.
- We usually do not charge for photocopying or faxing at $2.00-3.00 per page but we do charge for the staff member's time spent at the photocopier for you.
- We are able to provide you with a costs update at any time on request.
- We bill monthly (or more regularly) so that you know where costs are up to
- We seek to report to you when an agreed cost estimate is being approached so that cost saving steps can be taken. Our software alerts us.
- If we believe the work doesn't need doing or you don't need our advice we will tell you.
