Nathan was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2005 after completing two years articles of clerkship.
Before joining Corney & Lind Lawyers, Nathan practiced in a boutique commercial law firm in the Brisbane CBD.
Nathan has acted in a broad range of disputes. His approach to seek to help the parties reach an early, practical and lasting settlement has seen him regularly called upon to assist in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and litigation. He has appeared before various tribunals and courts and is familiar with the patient, attentive to detail, and careful preparation required before a dispute proceeds to trial. Both Counsel and the Courts have commended Nathan on his thorough preparation.
Nathan’s background in dispute resolution and litigation has put him into a good position to provide practical advice to individuals, corporate entities and office holders on issues relating to liability, risk and insurance.
Nathan’s practice also includes bankruptcy and insolvency advice for individuals, corporate entities and the office holders of corporate entities.
Nathan recently ran the first known case in the Queensland Supreme Court, under recent amendments to the Succession Act, for Rectification of a Will on the basis that it did not represent the intentions of the Will maker (Testator).
Nathan also has significant commercial law experience in contract, business law and commercial property. This informs and “real worlds” Nathan’s dispute resolution practice.
Nathan has been awarded a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.
